BUFFALO, N.Y. — One of the plaintiffs in the numerous lawsuits filed against the NYSDOT welcomes the complete 'reset' of the Kensington Expressway project.

"It's a win, right?" said Aymanuel Radford, an organizer with the NYCLU. "We see this billion dollar project about to happen, something that's going to be generational, and we thought that NYSDOT should have been more responsible in making sure that the mitigation was in place to protect people during construction."

In February, Judge Emilio Colaiacovo ruled that the project can not move forward without a full Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).

On Wednesday, the NYSDOT announced they would conduct an EIS and essentially reset the project completely.
