OLD TOWN -- The Dexter Tigers field hockey team faced off against the Old Town Coyotes on Thursday afternoon.

In the first quarter, the Coyotes had a great scoring chance, as the ball was in the stick of an Old Town attacker right in front of the net, but Tigers sophomore Hannah Derosier stepped in front of the shot and kept the game scoreless.

In the second quarter, the Tigers defense came up big again. This time, senior Chloe Murdock applied the pressure and forced a Coyotes attacker to shoot from way outside, and the ball went wide of the net.

But it did not take long before Old Town took advantage of their many offensive opportunities, and a perfectly placed pass found senior Lindsay Mockler who was able to tap it in behind the goalkeeper to give the Coyotes the lead. Old Town wou
