Cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. went down first. On third-and-2 with 8:30 left in the half, the rookie fifth-round pick was beaten by Tyrell Shavers for a 17-yard gain. Marshall stayed on the turf near the sideline after the play and was taken into the blue medical tent. He was initially ruled questionable to return with a hamstring injury but was downgraded to out at halftime.
Marshall, who got the start at nickel corner, had been targeted by Allen throughout the first half. He was turned around on a 20-yard touchdown to tight end Dalton Kincaid on Buff
