Riverside, La Paz and Imperial counties are under an updated flood warning which was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 7:08 p.m. The warning is in effect until 10 p.m.
According to the NWS Phoenix AZ , “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected for portions of west central Arizona, including La Paz and California, including Imperial and Riverside county counties.”
“Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable,” the NWS said. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.”
