WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Folks gathered to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at "La Fiesta'' in Wilkes-Barre.

Students and staff at King's College got to enjoy traditional food, live performances, and even some games, like a mechanical bull..

Organizers say seeing different cultures is what the university is all about.

King's College student Ashley Taveras says, "I've always said that King's College is a homey college, that's what made me come to King's. Since King's College is a homey college, I love seeing different cultures and different backgrounds come together because that's the essence of King's College."

The event was hosted by the La Raza Student Association and the Hispanic and Latino Excellence Center.
