Several imported cookware products have been recalled after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said they may leach lead into food. FDA sampling found that products made from aluminum, brass and aluminum alloys were especially likely to leach lead into food.

Aluminum pots from brands Kadai/Karahi Tiger White, JK Vallabhdas and Silver Horse are specifically noted as being toxic. Silver Horse saucepans or milkpans are also included on the FDA recall list. Consumers are advised to throw away these products and any other cooking products that may contain lead.

The FDA warned in its recall that there are "no known safe levels of lead exposure". Children are especially susceptible to lead toxicity and may experience trouble learning or behavior changes at low levels of exposure. Hig
