Parents are on alert after a boy was approached by a man in a white van near a Sydney primary school.
The 10-year-old boy was walking to an after-school activity along Baringa Rd, Northbridge, close to St Philip Neri Primary School, when the man pulled up about 4.30pm on Tuesday.
Police said they were told the man spoke to the boy before driving away.
The primary school sent an email to parents this week, warning them of the alleged incident in their neighbourhood that was flagged by a local.
“This parent reported to us that yesterday, as their children were walking to an after-school activity, a man in a white van stopped alongside the children, offered them lollies and asked if they wanted a ride,” the email read.
