HARRISON — A nursing program at Mid Michigan College just got a huge boost from two area non-profits.
The Gladwin Community Foundation Health Improvement Fund and the Clare Community Foundation Community Investment Fund both gave $10,000 donations to support the college’s Creating a Dream Nursing Lab renovation project on their Harrison campus.
According to Mid Michigan College, the project will include a new simulation lab, more classroom space and new technology. They say it will better prepare students for real-world healthcare careers.
The renovations are also partly funded by a $2 million state grant and other contributions from local donors. The goal is to expand capacity and ensure the college can meet the growing demand for highly skilled healthcare professionals.
