HOW IT HAPPENED • South Carolina started off strong with sophomore Katie Shea Collins scoring in the first minute, the seventh fastest goal in program history. She also holds the second fastest at 0:34. • Collins’ first-half hat trick was the 11th program hat trick and the third of her career. She now holds the record for most hat tricks in the program’s history. • Collins now leads the team with seven goals and 15 points on the season. • Sophomore keeper Emma Kirlin kept the Rebels at bay recording a career-high five saves in the shutout win. • South Carolina is now 8-0-0 when scoring first this season. • Following the Gamecocks’ 25th match against the Rebels, South Carolina leads the all-time series 14-6-5.
