CINCINNATI —

Hunter Greene was dominant Thursday night as the Cincinnati Reds kept pace in the chase for a National League wild card spot with a win over the Chicago Cubs.

Greene threw a complete game shutout, allowed just one hit, struck out nine and walked only one as the Reds beat Chicago 1-0. Advertisement

With the win, the Reds remained two games behind the New York Mets for the final National League wild card spot.

Greene, 26, took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before Cubs right fielder Seiya Suzuki lined a double down the left field line for Chicago’s only hit of the game.
