It wasn’t necessarily a poor start to Big 12 Conference play for the Colorado women’s soccer team. But it definitely wasn’t the result the Buffaloes wanted.
CU played to a scoreless draw against Kansas State on Thursday night at Prentup Field, opening a run of three consecutive home games to start league play with a result that left head coach Danny Sanchez frustrated.
“The second half was a little bit better, but not drastically,” Sanchez said. “We have to sit back and kind of evaluate how we prepared for this match. Because for whatever reason, the first half, we weren’t ready to go. That’s on me. That’s on the coaching staff. We’ll look at ourselves first. We played well defensively. But we didn’t produce enough going forward.”
Thanks to a few gaudy goal totals during nonconference
