Scannell Properties has found its first tenant for its new industrial campus in southwest Fresno.

The Business Journal reported Thursday that Scannell has secured its first tenant for the Westgate Industrial Center.

Driving the news: After four years of planning and defeating lawsuits brought by environmental groups, Scannell broke ground on the $100 million industrial park in July. • The Westgate Industrial Center will span 48 acres at the northeast corner of N. Marks and W. Nielsen avenues. • It will have four offices and warehouse buildings across 833,000 square feet. • Scannell expects the project will provide 1,000 jobs to Fresno.
