Sophomore quarterback Jayden Baum threw for 330 yards, much of it in a dominant first half, as Evergreen rolled to a 42-13 win over North Thurston on Thursday in Lacey.

Baum was 9 for 9 for 245 yards and three touchdowns in the first half as Evergreen led 28-7. That included TD passes of 63 yards to Jaysaun Scott and 51 yards to Darren Schmitt.

Terrance Saryon caught seven passes for a team-leading 131 yards. That included a 56-yard catch-and-run that set up Damian Perez’s 3-yard touchdown run on the next play.

Schmitt finished with five catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Scott had 94 yards on four catches.

Malukai Hodges rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, both in the third quarter, as Evergreen improved to 2-1.
