New Milford head coach Bill Straub delivered a list of things that his Knights team will have to fix if they ultimately want to achieve the success they strive for this season.

But as Straub reminded them at the end, “the scoreboard says we won.”

In the end, the issues that will be addressed in film session took a back seat to what the lights behind them said, “New Milford 6, Secaucus 0.”

Jake Johnson’s first quarter touchdown proved to be the game’s only score as the Knights improved to .500 on the young season on Thursday night in New Milford.

“At the end of the day, 6-0’s a win. It’s a win in the book. And we got it on our record,” said sophomore Jesse Brophy. “But we know this game wasn’t pretty. We got to clean it up in practice this week.”
