EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State and No. 4 UCLA played to a 1-1 draw at DeMartin Stadium on Thursday evening. Kennedy Bell had the Spartan goal, and freshman keeper Noelle Henning had a career-best six saves, including a huge one in the final minute to preserve a 1-1 tie.

This was the first-ever meeting of the two schools. Michigan State is now 3-2-4 and 0-0-2 in conference play, and UCLA is 5-2-1, 1-0-1 B1G.

MSU got on the board in the 19th minute on a beautiful setup of Kennedy Bell; Kayla Briggs stole a throw-in by the Bruins and pushed it ahead for Bell, who buried her fifth goal of the season. Bella Najera just missed on an attempt with seven minutes remaining in the first half, and MSU was once again close to taking a 2-0 lead in the 57th minute when Renee Watson’s shot
