Is there an end finally brewing to the long-running soapie-like saga of what to do with Ray Walsh House?

The past three years have been filled with drama, controversy and high-priced solutions surrounding the building's future; however, Tamworth mayor Russell Webb believes the council now has a plan to move forward, with an end in sight.

Determining the future of RWH, which has been vacant since 2022 , will be front and centre during next week's council meeting.

Cr Webb will open the meeting with a Mayoral Minute, outlining the council's instructions to the general manager, Paul Bennett, to prepare an options paper exploring the future of RWH, office accommodations for council staff, and a new Visitor Experience Centre.
