A driver was seriously injured Thursday morning after getting into two crashes with other cars and leading police in a high-speed chase on Cape Cod, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Shortly before 11:25 a.m., Barnstable police notified State Police that a Ford F150 that they were pursuing had evaded them and continued onto Route 6 west, State Police said in an email. The truck had been involved in a two-car crash on Route 132 and did not stop when Barnstable police tried to pull it over.
A trooper in an unmarked cruiser soon began following behind a Barnstable police cruiser that was chasing the F150, State Police said. The trooper recorded the truck traveling at around 90 mph, which prompted troopers located further west on Route 6 to position themselves to deploy stop sticks if
