A Canberra man has been charged with murder after a fight at a caravan park in the city's south on Monday.
Paul Bruce Bray, 49, called police himself to say a man was lying unconscious at the front door of his residence at the Southside Village Caravan Park.
The victim, 31-year-old Matthew McGrail, was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, but died today from his injuries.
Mr Bray was arrested at the scene, and appeared in court on Tuesday charged with recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm.
The court heard Mr Bray told police it was self-defence.
He was granted bail and released.
The ACT's Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker told the court at the time, "It's not clear in the facts if the [victim] will get better or worse".
