LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Seattle Storm's (23-21) season ends in a 2-1 series loss to the Las Vegas Aces (30-14) after a tied playoff career-high 38 points from Vegas star A'ja Wilson.
Seattle fell 74-73 in Game 3 after a failed Erica Wheeler go-ahead jump shot with 4.4 seconds remaining.
Wheeler and starter Nneka Ogwumike tied for the most points scored with 16, and the defense played well at the perimeter, holding the Aces to 3-12 from three.
This is also the third-straight Seattle playoff appearance ended by Las Vegas. The last Storm playoff appearance without losing to the Aces wouldn't lose at all, as that was the 2020 WNBA title-winning run.
The 2026 WNBA season will welcome a new regional rival in Portland, and it begins on May 16.
