CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio --

Assault: Lee Road

At 6:35 p.m. Sept. 11, police were called to Mitchell’s Fine Chocolates, 2285 Lee Road, on a report of an assault.

At the scene, police learned of a fight between two men -- the managers of Mitchell’s and the neighboring Phoenix Coffee, 2287 Lee Road.

The Mitchell’s manager said that the other manager approached him and struck him several times. Police saw swelling near his ear.

A female witness said she heard the two arguing, the Mitchell’s manager, 57, standing by the back door of that business, and the Phoenix manager sitting close by in his car.

The Phoenix manager, 38, told officers that the Mitchell’s manager had been, for the past year, harrassing him and Phoenix employees. On this occasion, he said, the Mitchell’s manager said to h
