Marcus Rashford has been sent messages of support from his Manchester United colleagues after a remarkable night with Barcelona in the Champions League .

The United academy graduate made his European starting debut for Barca against Newcastle United having signed for the club on loan in the summer. After a challenging first half Rashford came alive after the break, scoring a stunning brace at St James' Park.

His first goal for the Spanish giants came after heading home a cross from Jules Kounde, before unleashing a blistering 25-yard strike that proved to be the decisive goal for Hansi Flick's side. Newcastle pulled one back through Anthony Gordon in stoppage time.
