A challenge has been placed upon those of us who still drive, have access to a car and don’t know what it’s like to rely on public transportation.
Western Reserve Independent Living Center is inviting the Trumbull County community to take part in Week Without Driving, happening Sept. 29 through Oct. 5 in Trumbull County and across Ohio.
The challenge is to experience the public transportation system so that you can become knowledgeable enough to understand the barriers experienced by those who don’t drive, and you can be a factor in making positive changes.
“A Week Without Driving” started in Washington state in 2021 and has grown into a national movement. You can participate in a single trip, a day or the full week. Even if you end up driving, your reflections on what mobility options
