Although residential customers represent the vast majority of Yuma water customers, they only use 51% of the 7.4 billion gallons the city’s customer base consumes each year. Each residential customer averages 330 gallons per day.

On the other hand, commercial uses 44%, and the 35 industrial customers represent 5% of the total consumption, each averaging 30,000 gallons per day.

The city services 35,000 water accounts, 89% of which are residential customers, 11% are commercial and 0.1% are industrial.
