The Saskatoon Blades open the 2025-26 Western Hockey League season this weekend with games Friday in Prince Albert and Saturday in Saskatoon.
Game-time is 7 p.m. Saturday at SaskTel Centre.
The Blades enter the new WHL campaign with increased expectations. While most other teams got hit with an exodus of potential returnees who have left to join the NCAA ranks, the Blades have so far dodged that bullet.
The team welcomes back nine returning forwards, four defencemen and two goalies from last season.
