A Clark County company is facing $140,500 in fines from the Washington Department of Labor & Industries for safety violations, according to a Thursday news release from the state agency.
The department said Clark County Excavating & General Contracting didn’t ensure worker safety from possible cave-in hazards at a construction site in Ridgefield earlier this year.
Clark County Excavating & General Contracting, however, filed an appeal of the inspection findings in August , according to the labor department’s website.
Don Boespflug, president of Clark County Excavating & General Contracting, said he didn’t want to comment on the citation because of his pending appeal.
