The family of a man who drowned at Beaver Dam Swimming Club in Cockeysville is calling for an investigation into the club’s safety protocols and permit.
Since Michael Randle drowned in the quarry on Aug. 17, his family on Thursday requested the Baltimore County Health Department to review the club’s operations.
“He was beloved, and, in so many ways, he was becoming the center of his family, he was becoming the anchor of their future, and it’s hard to lose an anchor under any circumstances, but particularly circumstances like this,” said Thiru Vignarajah, the family’s attorney.
Randle was at the club with family and friends when he disappeared in the water. Search and rescue crews found his body two days later.
