LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - After a six-hour trip to El Paso, the Monterey Plainsmen (1-2) are ready to put on a show in front of a homecoming crowd while the Odessa High Bronchos (0-3) come to Lowrey Field.

“You want to win your homecoming game,” said Monterey head football coach Jason Sims. “You got a lot of alumni coming back, new coach, and we’ve got a goal that we want to win all our home games. So, it’s a home game. It’s on our goal board to win it. So we want to do it.”

The Plainsmen’s offense is anchored by quarterback Jonah Reed, along with wide receivers Quarren Boyd and Cam Taylor. The three combined for five scores in last week’s 42-35 loss to El Paso Franklin.
