The National Hurricane Cente r is tracking several systems in the Atlantic basin, including Tropical Storm Gabrielle, which is expected to become the season's second hurricane over the weekend.

Tropical Storm Gabrielle formed in the central Atlantic Sept. 17, becoming the first named storm since Fernand in late August.
