With the MLB regular season coming to an end, a couple of names are at the top of the list of possible MVP candidates. Shohei Ohtani is undoubtedly one of the top names to win the NL MVP race. The two-way star has had a historic season, and he continues to perform at his peak.
Ohtani has smashed 51 home runs and struck out 50 in one season. Yet, Philadelphia Phillies star Kyle Schwarber has been a top competitor for the Dodgers slugger. Schwarber has 53 home runs and is putting up some strong numbers at the plate. Many beg to differ between the two stars and their road to winning the 2025 MVP.
As for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, he believes that Shohei Ohtani will have a landslide victory when compared to Schwarber. Roberts dismissed the fact that Schwarber could outdo Ohtani in the MVP
