Widespread outages affecting customers with M&T Bank accounts were reported Friday morning.

More than 2,000 customers reported having an issue as of about 9 a.m., according to DownDetector.com — a website that says it provides real-time monitoring of issues and outages affecting “vital services.”

In response to a post made on X by StatusIsDown.com , which shared a post about the reported outages, M&T Bank said it was experiencing “intermittent issues” with its online and mobile banking.”

“We’re working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue, and we apologize for the inconvenience,” M&T wrote. “Thank you for your patience.”

A number of X users who tagged M&T Bank reported that they had not received their direct deposits on Friday.
