With only four opportunities to judge his performance in two games, the New Orleans Saints aren’t losing any sleep over kicker Blake Grupe.

Grupe has lined up for four field goals and has missed two of them — both coming from relatively easy range by his standards. In the opener, it was a rushed operation on a 38-yard attempt that resulted in a miss to the left. Last week, he pushed a 40-yard attempt to the right of the uprights after the Saints’ opening drive, a missed opportunity to take an early lead.

He’s made his other two attempts, both coming from inside 40 yards, but the two misses were a surprise after Grupe turned in an extraordinary training camp.

A surprise, but not anything that is causing the Saints any anxiety.
