Kathleen Kane, the former Pennsylvania attorney general who was convicted of perjury and obstruction nearly a decade ago after an attempt to smear a perceived rival prosecutor, launched a podcast this week casting her story as one of perseverance and encouragement for listeners who might find themselves in “trials and tribulations.”

“What I did go through felt to me ... like one big eye, literally standing in the middle of a hurricane and I had no control over my life or destiny or anything at that point,” Kane told her niece, Alexandra Goffer, in an interview for “ Through the HurriKane” on Spotify .
