Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will not start in Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders after not practicing on Friday. The second-year QB suffered a knee sprain in the loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 2.

Earlier this week, Commanders head coach Dan Quinn told reporters that Daniels was required to practice to earn the start on Sunday. With Daniels ruled out, Washington will start journeyman QB Marcus Mariota in his place, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
