The Lewisville football program has become a consistent participant in the yearly playoff dance and has some long-lasting threads woven into their storyline. Head coach Michael Odle was the starting quarterback for the 1996 Class 5A state championship team under head coach Ronnie Gage, who now has a fieldhouse complex named after him.

For the past five years, Nathan Blackwell has been operating as Odle’s quarterbacks coach and, most recently, offensive coordinator. He has spent time as run game coordinator, offensive line coach and whatever else has been asked of him.
