Two UK cities experiment with pedestrian 'fast lanes' for quicker commuting
Pedestrian 'fast lanes' are being tested in two bustling UK city centres - Glasgow and Leeds - to enable swift walkers to navigate through the crowds. The 50m-long and 2.2m-wide tracks have been installed in areas with high pedestrian traffic.
Sky Broadband is behind the trial, which comes after research revealed that 44 per cent of people supported the introduction of fast lanes.
