Norfolk County was once home to 38 branches of the federated women’s institute. There are now five – Marburg, Lynedoch, Walsingham, Vittoria and Langton.
Chanda made the comments during a visit to the Waterford Heritage and Agricultural Museum on Sunday. She was there to participate in a ceremony inducting all of the Women’s Institutes of Norfolk County – past and present – into the Norfolk County Agricultural Hall of Fame.
