MURRAY, Ky. (KFVS) - A new virtual reality lab at Murray State University is giving criminal justice and social work students a hands-on approach to learning.
Held during Family Weekend on September 5, the grand opening for the lab in Murray State’s Criminal Justice and Social Work department gave families and community members a chance to see it.
According to MSU, the lab uses the WRAP VR system, which puts students in real-world scenarios to help them build communication and problem-solving skills.
They say situations range from traffic stops and domestic violence calls to encounters with people experiencing mental illness or substance abuse issues.
