OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Oklahoma City Thunder has rolled out applications for its six-month mentorship and empowerment program, Power Her Forward, which is aimed at inspiring the next generation of female leaders.
The initiative is used to connect female high school basketball players with local influential role models, and also helps freshman and sophomore players build up their confidence, develop leadership skills, and strengthen their ties within the community.
Power Her Forward seeks to encourage girls to stay involved in sports and make a long-term difference.
