SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A 5k run and two mile walk is being held Sunday in Springfield to raise funds for a Massachusetts State Police trooper who was injured when he got hit by a car on the Mass. Pike in Chicopee in June.

Trooper Sean Clark was left with life-threatening injuries and is still undergoing intensive rehabilitation, which is why Nathan Bill’s Bar and Restaurant is hosting the ‘Strides for Sean’ 5k on Sunday, so much-needed funds can be raised to help Clark and his family afford continued treatment.

The event starts at 9 a.m. and will include $3,500 dollars in cash prizes for the different winners. If you would like to participate, you can CLICK HERE to register .
