The top five dates for getting married this year kick off Saturday. Not June, not July, but on the cusp of the autumn equinox.

According to The Knot’s wedding trends to watch report, Sept. 20 is the most popular date for weddings this year, followed by every Saturday in October. Among the most popular spots for saying "I do": Massachusetts. Specifically, Cape Cod and Boston.

Also, California. Of the top 10 spots to exchange vows, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Los Angeles and Napa claim four.
