Two ambulance service workers have been arrested as part of a major investigation into six deaths in the UK, according to police.

Wiltshire Police reported that a man in his 30s from the west of the county was arrested on suspicion of six counts of gross negligence manslaughter and four counts of ill-treatment or wilful neglect by a care worker.

A woman, aged 59, was also arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.

Both individuals have since been released on bail.

They were suspended from their jobs and one no longer works for the South Western Ambulance Service.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker, from the Major Crime Investigation Team at Wiltshire Police, told how the force began the investigation in 2023.
