PORTSMOUTH — Buckley’s Market & Cafe will take over the first floor of the Brick Market building vacated by the former Hearth Eatery & Bar .

Michael Timothy's Dining Group , owner of the downtown Surf restaurant in Portsmouth and other eateries around New Hampshire, hopes to open the new specialty grocer and market in the 20,000-square-foot space at 60 Penhallow St. by the end of 2025.

Fresh meat and seafood, pasta dishes, sandwiches, salads, soups, sides, prepared meals, vegetables, fruit, sauces, bread, pastries, wine and beer, will be among the food and beverages served at Buckley’s.
