The Patriots secondary could get a major boost on Sunday.

Christian Gonzalez has been listed as questionable and might make his 2025 debut against the Steelers this weekend. The cornerback returned to practice this week after being sidelined since late July with a hamstring injury.

“It’s been very challenging to be out for so long. But I’m focused on the here and now,” Gonzalez said on Wednesday. “I’m not really too worried about the injury. I’m not going to answer any questions on that, we’re just focused on Steelers.”

In Gonzalez’s absence, the Patriots secondary has allowed back-to-back 300 yard passing days to Geno Smith and Tua Tagovailoa, so his return would certainly be a welcome sight for Mike Vrabel. Gonzalez wasn’t a full participant at practice this week, however.
