CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Citrus County Fire Rescue had to make room for an extra passenger earlier this week when someone needed a lift home after a car crash.
A miniature pony, Bella, and her owner were involved in a crash, which left her transport vehicle too damaged to continue on. Multiple crews from CCFR responded to the crash and said no one, including Bella, was injured.
But it left Bella in a tough spot. Fortunately for her, one of the battalion chiefs was prepared for any scenario, including equine-related. The mini pony, which is usually classified as being under three feet tall and between 150 and 300 pounds, was the perfect size to fit in the backseat of his truck.
