MASON CITY, Iowa — The River City buzzed with fervent foodies during the lunch hour as the 20th annual Ethnic Lunch took place around Central Park.

Hosted by the North Iowa Diversity Appreciation Team, the event offered a variety of global dishes from local churches and vendors.

The Greek Orthodox and Trinity Lutheran churches served savory favorites alongside Black Dog BBQ, Filipino Foodie and other bakers and chefs.

For those without cash, the Mason City High School culinary class provided free samples, ensuring everyone could enjoy the diverse flavors.
