PHOENIX — Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell is warning that her office will hold accountable anyone who chooses to break the law during Sunday's memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Thousands of people are expected to fill State Farm Stadium this weekend to mourn the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, who was assassinated on a college campus in Utah on Sept. 10. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are planning to attend the service.

Ahead of Sunday's event, the county's top prosecutor encouraged individuals who may chose to protest the event to do so peacefully.
