A new episode of HBO’s The Case Against Adnan Syed reveals that Adnan Syed, who was convicted for the 1999 murder of his high school ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, is now a married man. The series, which initially premiered in 2019, released a special edition episode on September 18, unveiling several updates about his life following his release from prison.

According to the new episode, Syed now lives in Virginia with his wife, whose identity is unknown. He reportedly met his wife after she wrote to him while in prison in 2019. At the time, she had just finished the docuseries about his trial. They soon exchanged vows and have now been married for five years .
