GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - A former Green Bay School Board member who resigned in May has been charged with election fraud.

Court records show that 47-year-old Kou Lee, who resigned in May, is charged with one count of election fraud and another count of false swearing in a government setting. Lee was in the midst of a three-year term he was elected to in April 2024 at the time of his resignation.

The election fraud charge is listed as a Class I Felony, with potential punishments of up to 3.5 years in prison and/or $10,000 in fines. The false swearing charge is a Class H felony, carrying up to six years in prison and/or $10,000 in fines if convicted.

An initial court appearance has been set for November 19 at 8:30 a.m.
