Saint Anselm College is known for its New Hampshire Institute of Politics, its relatively conservative student body , and a student willingness to debate across the aisle, including on topics such as free speech and political violence.

But will things change on campus -- or around the nation -- after what happened to Charlie Kirk?

Saint Anselm “attracts students interested in the betterment of the world,” said Paul Pronovost, communications director for the Catholic college in Goffstown.

“We have a robust number of people who consider themselves conservatives and liberals, Republicans and Democrats. We truly believe in engaging in a civil discourse with everyone. Students here are taught to lead with empathy and work hard to understand other perspectives,” Pronovost said.
