KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department is investigating a stabbing on Ben Hur Avenue that left one person injured on Friday, Sept. 19.

The stabbing occurred on Friday afternoon in the 300 block of Ben Hur Avenue, according to KPD. The victim was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in critical condition.

A person of interest was detained by responding officers, police said.
